In a shocking incident that has stirred political and public outrage, a BJP office-bearer has been accused of molesting a woman police officer during Union Minister Nitin Gadkari’s visit to Pune. The incident reportedly occurred in the Shaniwar Wada area and was captured on CCTV.
According to sources, BJP MLA Hemant Rasane from Kasba Peth had gathered with party workers near Shaniwar Wada during Gadkari’s visit. After the event, Rasane took a group of party workers and on-duty police officers to a nearby tea shop.
During this gathering, Pramod Kondhare, popularly known as Pamya and a BJP office-bearer, allegedly inappropriately touched a woman police officer under the guise of crowd movement. The officer promptly filed a complaint regarding the incident.
The Vishrambaug Police have taken swift action and arrested Kondhare. Following the arrest and public pressure, he has resigned from his position within the party.
The BJP has not yet issued an official statement regarding the incident, but the matter has raised serious concerns about conduct and safety during political events.
