Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has made serious allegations that the Election Commission is helping the BJP and that there has been large-scale vote rigging in Maharashtra, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, and Karnataka. According to him, the transparency of the election process is at risk, and there is an attempt to undermine the structure of democracy through misuse of power. These allegations not only echo political maneuvering but also strike at the root of trust in democracy.

The election result in Haryana has become the focal point of these allegations. Rahul Gandhi claims that Congress's definite victory was turned into a defeat due to interference by those in power. He has made a shocking claim that 2.5 million votes were stolen in Haryana. “A plan was devised to convert the massive mandate into a defeat,” he stated firmly at a press conference.

In the same meeting, making a different revelation, Rahul Gandhi raised the issue of the “Brazilian model.” He claimed that voting took place in 22 places using a photograph of a Brazilian model. He alleged that voter IDs were created under names like ‘Seema’ and ‘Sweety’ and were used for voting. He indicated that this was not just an issue of system flaws but a major conspiracy to manipulate voter lists through computer tampering, creating fake identities, and group formation.

Rahul Gandhi has termed this as the 'H Files'. He claims that these files contain evidence of irregularities in the state's voter lists, polling station records, voting methods, and counting. He argues that this conspiracy has been hatched not just in one constituency but at the state level, and even at the national level. Congress candidates also filed many complaints, but they were ignored, he criticized.

While the exit polls indicated a clear victory for Congress, the results turned out to be the opposite. For the first time in Haryana's history, there was such a large discrepancy between postal votes and machine votes, which Rahul Gandhi finds concerning. “These are not statements in the air, we are speaking with evidence,” he claims. These developments are not just an analysis of a single party's defeat. The question here is about the Indian election system, its credibility, and the reputation of the world's largest democracy. Such serious allegations have been made against the Election Commission before, but this time the numbers, examples, and disclosures make the situation seem more serious.

The political, social, and institutional consequences of this case can be far-reaching. If these allegations are true, the foundation of the democratic process will have been shaken; and if the allegations are proven false, the question of credibility will also arise over Rahul Gandhi's leadership. Given the seriousness of the situation, an impartial investigation into this issue is essential. Because ultimately, this is not about who won or lost the battle, but about the existence of India's democratic values. Democracy is not just a voting process, but a step of honesty, transparency, and trust in institutions. Today, it is being tested.
