Kiran Rijiju On Rahul Gandhi: Massive vote rigging occurred in the Haryana Assembly elections, and the Election Commission made the BJP win, alleged Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi. The BJP gave a strong reaction to these allegations on Wednesday. Union Minister Kiran Rijiju held a press conference to refute Rahul Gandhi's allegations and called it a 'political drama before the Bihar elections.'

Rijiju said, 'Rahul Gandhi is creating a cover for his own failure. Tomorrow is voting in Bihar, but he is telling stories about Haryana. This means Congress has nothing left in Bihar, and to distract, they are pushing the Haryana issue.' He also said that as the Leader of Opposition, Rahul Gandhi should speak on serious issues.

Brazilian Model Photo Issue – ‘Political Drama’

Rahul Gandhi accused that a Brazilian model's photo was used under different names in Haryana's voter lists. Rijiju also criticized this. “Rahul Gandhi collects information abroad and brings it to India to create drama,” he remarked. The claim of creating 2.5 million fake votes was termed “politically motivated and false” by Rijiju.

Rahul Gandhi's Allegations

Rahul Gandhi claimed that there are 2,541,144 fake voters in Haryana and that these were deliberately created by the government. He made a serious allegation that the Congress's victory was turned into a defeat through 'Operation Government Theft'. He also clarified with examples that there are duplicate names, illegal addresses, and a large number of registrations at the same address in the voter lists. “All surveys showed a Congress victory. In postal votes, Congress got 73 seats while BJP got only 17 seats. But the result was different,” claimed Rahul Gandhi.

They also accused many BJP workers in Haryana and Uttar Pradesh of double voting. Chief Election Commissioner Dnyanesh Kumar had explained giving 'zero number' addresses to homeless people; however, Rahul Gandhi accused that this too was false.
