In the Powai area of Mumbai, a person named Rohit Arya had taken 20 people hostage, including 17 children. As soon as the police received information about this incident, they rushed to the scene and took immediate action, rescuing all the children safely within a few hours. He was also encountered during the skirmish. In this context, Advocate Nitin Satpute has reacted.
Nitin Satpute said, "The encounter was orchestrated to cover up the failure of the state police machinery due to the high pressure from senior officers who failed to protect innocent children. Why was Rohit shot in the chest? The state government is entirely responsible for the abduction of 17 minors and 2 adults. The state government defrauded the deceased Rohit Arya for 2 crore rupees, leading him to decide to end his life."
"However, later he changed his mind and considered the so-called kidnapping, as he was under immense stress due to not receiving his official payments from the government. If necessary, the police should have shot him in the leg or lower upper part to incapacitate him. Rohit Arya should not have had any genuine intention of kidnapping and harming the children".
