Russia deliberately attacked an Indian pharmaceutical company's warehouse, Ukraine makes sensational claim

In a sensational development, Ukraine has alleged that Russia deliberately targeted the warehouse of Indian pharmaceutical company Kusum during a recent missile strike. The Indian Embassy in Ukraine shared this information via a post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), raising serious concerns about the safety of Indian commercial establishments amid the ongoing conflict.

According to Ukrainian authorities, the attack was not accidental. They claim Moscow is intentionally targeting Indian businesses operating in Ukraine, signaling a possible shift in Russia’s military strategy. “Medicines intended for the elderly and children were destroyed in the strike,” the Indian Embassy stated, highlighting the humanitarian cost of the incident.

While Russia has not issued an official response to the allegations, British Ambassador to Ukraine Martin Harris offered a differing account, stating that the warehouse was likely hit by a Russian drone, not a missile.

The targeted facility belongs to Kusum, a multinational pharmaceutical group with a significant presence in Ukraine. As per the company’s website, Kusum employs over 2,000 people across several countries, including India, Ukraine, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, the Philippines, Myanmar, Mexico, and Kenya. The company operates four modern manufacturing plants, three in India and one in Ukraine.

The incident has sparked concern in diplomatic circles, especially as Indian businesses continue to operate in conflict-affected regions. There has been no official word from the Indian government regarding the attack as of now.

This developing story underscores the increasing risks faced by foreign businesses in Ukraine and adds a new dimension to the already complex geopolitical tensions in the region.
