The formal induction ceremony took place at Muktagiri Bungalow in Mumbai in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. Shinde welcomed the new entrants with party scarves, signaling a fresh wave of consolidation within his faction ahead of upcoming civic and assembly elections.
Along with Sanjana and Sanjay Ghadi, a total of 18 prominent party workers joined the Shinde group. The new inductees include:
Branch Heads
Group Heads
Sub-Branch Organizers
Group Coordinators
All are reportedly influential grassroots leaders from Mumbai who were previously aligned with the Thackeray-led faction.
“We welcome all those who believe in our vision of development and true Shiv Sena ideology. Their support strengthens our mission,” said Deputy CM Eknath Shinde, addressing the media during the ceremony.
The defection of Sanjana Ghadi, once a vocal supporter and spokesperson of the Thackeray faction, is being viewed as a strategic setback for the Uddhav camp, particularly in Mumbai where municipal polls are looming.
Political analysts note that such defections can tilt the balance of power in local constituencies and may influence voter sentiment, especially in urban wards where grassroots leadership plays a crucial role.
