NCP Merger : Secret meeting on the merger of both NCPs at Govind Bagh on January 17

Important and significant information has emerged regarding the merger of both factions of the Nationalist Congress Party. A crucial meeting was held on January 17 at Govind Bagh in Baramati to bring both NCP factions together. Notably, senior leader Sharad Pawar and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar were both present at this meeting. The purpose of this meeting was to reunite both factions of the Nationalist Congress Party, as this information has now come to light.

This meeting was held on the occasion of the inauguration of the agricultural center organized at Govind Bagh. It is understood that a politically very important discussion took place under the guise of the inauguration program. Many senior leaders of the NCP were present at this meeting. Prominent leaders like Ajit Pawar, Sharad Pawar, Jayant Patil, Rohit Pawar, Shashikant Shinde, Rajesh Tope, and Harshvardhan Patil participated in this meeting.

According to sources, a positive discussion took place in this meeting for both NCPs to come together. Discussions were also held about contesting together in the upcoming district council, panchayat committee, and municipal elections. Particularly, the possibility of contesting elections together again on the 'clock' symbol was explored in this meeting.

However, it has come to light that some senior leaders of the NCP are opposed to this merger. It is understood that Sunil Tatkare, Praful Patel, and Dhananjay Munde have openly expressed dissatisfaction regarding this integration. It is said that these leaders opposed the merger on issues of the party's independent identity, power equations, and future political trajectory.

After this meeting, discussions about the merger of both NCP factions gained momentum. Even Sharad Pawar himself later acknowledged in a conversation with the media that there had been positive discussions between Ajit Pawar and Jayant Patil. However, it has also become clear that this process was interrupted after the untimely demise of Ajit Pawar. This meeting held at Govind Bagh on January 17 is now considered an important milestone in the history of the Nationalist Congress Party. This meeting increased communication between both groups.
