Before the municipal council and municipal panchayat elections on December 2, party switching has accelerated in the state. In this context, the Shiv Sena Thackeray faction has suffered a major setback, with many officials joining the Shiv Sena Shinde faction.
The party induction ceremony was held in Thane in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. Some office bearers and workers from the Thackeray group of Shiv Sena, NCP (Sharad Pawar group), and MNS from various districts including Dhule, Pune, and Nandurbar joined the Shinde group.
The list includes Dr. Sanjay Larn Patil, Secretary of the Thackeray group in Dhule district, Corporator Jitendra Jagtap, former group leader Hemant Patil, former chairman Vasant Pavara, and city organizer Vinod Jagtap. Along with them, Hemharaj Rajput of NCP and Prathamesh Chavan of MNS have also joined the Shinde group. It is believed that these developments, in the backdrop of local self-government elections, have strengthened the organizational power of the Shinde group.
