The written examinations for the 12th grade (HSC) conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) will begin tomorrow, Tuesday, February 10. This year, the board administration has made special preparations to ensure a copy-free environment and smooth conduct of the exams at the examination centers. In Nashik district, 82,338 students will appear for the exams at 129 examination centers. The first paper, English, will be held on February 10.
This year, for the first time, the twelfth-grade exams will be monitored via CCTV cameras at all exam centers. At centers where CCTV is not available, staff have been transferred to other centers, preventing students from taking advantage of staff for copying. Additionally, flying squads have been appointed at all centers. Instructions have been given to strictly enforce all rules, including immediate strict action against copying incidents, presence of dummy students, late-arriving students, and immediate preventive measures if electronic gadgets and mobiles are brought.
Branch-wise number of students:
Science: 96,625
Arts: 54,881
Commerce: 19,063
Vocational: 2,943

The 12th (HSC) examination will be held from February 10 to March 11, 2026, while the 10th (SSC) examination will take place from February 20 to March 18, 2026. Students need to prepare for the exams according to the schedule.
Rules at the Examination Center
Students must carry their admit card to gain entry to the examination center. No one will be allowed to enter the center without the admit card. Additionally, it is very important to arrive at the center at the designated time before the exam starts, register your attendance, and follow all rules. Students should not bring mobile phones, electronic devices, or other unnecessary items to the center.
The MSBSHSE board administration has implemented this copy-free examination and CCTV system for the first time this year to conduct the exams smoothly and protect the future of students. It is expected that this will reduce the stress on students and ensure the exams are conducted fairly. Guidance and instructions for students have been published on the board's official website by the board administration. Parents are also urged to provide appropriate support for their children's preparation.
