The Maharashtra Government’s 'Aaple Sarkar' portal, a key digital platform for accessing public services, will be temporarily shut down for five days—from April 10 to April 14, 2025—due to scheduled maintenance and technical upgrades. During this period, all services available on the portal will be suspended, causing disruptions to various citizen-centric functions.

Major Government Services Affected

Developed and managed by the Maharashtra Information Technology Corporation Limited (MahaIT), the 'Aaple Sarkar' portal provides access to a wide range of government services including revenue-related matters, issuance of educational, residence, income, caste certificates, and the registration of birth and death records. With the portal offline, many of these services will be temporarily inaccessible.

All service centers across the state have already been notified about the temporary suspension. The government has urged citizens to plan accordingly and complete any pending applications or documentation before April 10.

Revenue department services, educational and residence certificates, income certificates, caste certificates, birth and death records, and various government services may remain incomplete during this period. Due to this, the government has appealed to citizens to complete their necessary services on time. According to information given by Mahaonline Civil Services Head Rahul Surve, citizens use the portal on a large scale against the backdrop of agricultural and educational seasons. Therefore, if the load increases suddenly, the website is likely to slow down. This pre-planned technical maintenance is being done to avoid this.

Public Advisory and Resumption Date

Citizens are advised to avoid last-minute service requests and complete all necessary applications and submissions ahead of the portal’s downtime. Officials have confirmed that the portal will resume normal operations on April 15, 2025.

The government has issued an appeal for cooperation from the public, emphasizing that the short-term inconvenience will result in long-term improvements to service speed and reliability.
