In the new year, the weather is continuously changing, and the cold has increased again in the state. Sometimes due to cold winds, there is a chill in Mumbai-Pune, and sometimes a blanket of fog is seen in the morning, with the air deteriorating in some places. Although there is no threat of rain in the state on January 10, the cold will persist in the morning and night. Especially in Mumbai, Pune, and surrounding areas, the weather is dry, increasing the chill.

Partly cloudy skies are expected along the entire Konkan coast, including Mumbai, Thane, and Navi Mumbai. Fog may be visible in some areas during the morning. The maximum temperature in Mumbai and suburbs will be between 29 to 31 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is expected to be around 19 to 21 degrees. Due to the influence of the sea, the cold will not be severe, but a cool breeze and light chill can be experienced in the early morning. Similar weather conditions will prevail in Raigad, Ratnagiri, and Sindhudurg districts.

There is a possibility of fog in Pune city and Pune rural areas in the morning, and the sky will remain mostly clear throughout the day. The maximum temperature in Pune is expected to reach 28 to 30 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature will remain between 12 to 15 degrees Celsius. A chill will be felt in the early morning in the areas of Satara, Sangli, Kolhapur, and Solapur as well. The temperature will rise due to sunlight during the day, providing an experience of both cold and warm weather.

In Marathwada, Vidarbha, and North Maharashtra, the cold is expected to be relatively more intense. The minimum temperature is likely to drop to 10 to 13 degrees Celsius in Nashik, Dhule, Jalgaon, Nandurbar, and Ahmednagar areas. In Marathwada, dry weather will prevail in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Beed, Latur, Nanded, and Parbhani districts, but fog in the morning and chill at night will be felt. In Vidarbha, the cold will persist in Nagpur, Amravati, Akola, Wardha, and Chandrapur areas, with the minimum temperature expected to remain around 10 degrees.

Overall, there is not much likelihood of a change in the weather in the state over the next few days. Fog in the morning and coolness at night will continue to be felt, while during the day, the temperature will slightly increase due to sunlight. The cold effect will remain in most parts of the state, including Mumbai and Pune, and there are no signs of a significant drop in minimum temperature. The weather is expected to remain stable, and citizens will experience mild winter cold.
