The Class 11 (First Year Junior College) admission process for the academic year 2025-26 officially began on Monday, May 26, at 10 a.m., following an initial delay caused by technical issues on the registration portal. The online registration was originally scheduled to commence on May 19. However, a website crash on the first day disrupted the process, prompting the Education Department to release a revised schedule. With the technical glitches now resolved, the process saw an enthusiastic response from students across the state.
According to the Director of Education and Chairman of the State Level Admission Monitoring Committee, a total of 2,58,887 students registered on the first day alone. Of these, 83,724 students completed the full online admission process, including payment of fees. However, after 11 a.m., some users reported difficulties accessing the application form due to website issues. To ensure a smooth admission process, the Office of the Divisional Deputy Director of Education will organize a training program for college authorities to properly verify required documents. The provisional general admission list is set to be announced on June 5, 2025.
In addition, guidance and help centers have been established at divisional, district, and taluka levels to address student and parent concerns during the admission process. Students who are not allotted a seat in the first round will have opportunities to participate in subsequent rounds.
