In Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, BJP workers are upset over ticket distribution. Two female candidates have started a hunger strike, while another candidate has poured petrol on themselves. For the past few days, loyal BJP workers have been expressing their anger and dissatisfaction. The atmosphere of anger has been created as many workers have received candidacy.
Prashant Bhadane Patil strongly protested in front of Minister Atul Save's office today. Many other activists also expressed their displeasure in strong words against Minister Atul Save and MP Bhagwat Karad for not getting tickets. This discontent has posed a major challenge for the BJP. It is happening for the first time that such a large-scale discontent has erupted among the activists.
As a result, a question mark has arisen over the BJP's ticket distribution. In particular, there are allegations that loyal activists who have been with the party for many years have been sidelined. These allegations suggest that the party gave tickets to outsiders and trusted them, but ignored the local loyal activists.
Karad and Save's cars surrounded by disgruntled workers
Disgruntled BJP workers surrounded the cars of MP Bhagwat Karad and Minister Atul Save. They attacked the cars and angrily banged on them. The workers allege that the leaders did not even inquire about them. The workers expected the leaders to understand them and acknowledge their feelings, but since that did not happen, their anger erupted.
The police brought the situation under control and safely escorted Minister Atul Save and MP Bhagwat Karad's car out. There was an outburst of discontent among the supporters of Prashant Bhadane after he was denied a ticket from ward number two. His supporters created a ruckus at the BJP campaign office.
Reaction to Women's Hunger Strike Movement
Afterwards, two female activists have started a hunger strike movement. BJP leaders have expressed their reaction to this movement. According to them, the activists wanted candidacy, but using such a method is not appropriate. Discipline is an integral part of BJP's working method, and it is not acceptable for activists to insist in this manner for the party.
City District President Kishor Shitole has clarified that strict action will be taken against those who breach discipline. He warned that such behavior affects the party's discipline and will definitely lead to action.
