Western Turkey Shaken! Buildings Collapse Due to 6.1 Richter Scale Earthquake

In many parts of the world, severe earthquakes have been felt repeatedly over the past few days. So far, millions of lives have been lost. Once again, on October 27, severe tremors were felt in Turkey on Monday night. These tremors were so intense that three to four buildings have collapsed.

The magnitude of this earthquake was 6.1 on the Richter scale. These tremors were felt around 10:48 PM on Monday night in Istanbul, Bursa, Manisa, and these areas in western Turkey. In this context, rescue operations have been initiated by the administration as an emergency measure. On this, Turkey's Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya stated that three buildings and one shop have collapsed due to the tremors of this earthquake. It is also reported that there have been no casualties so far.

A similar earthquake occurred in Turkey in 2023, during which thousands of people lost their lives. According to information provided by the Red Cross organization, the earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria on February 6 claimed the lives of more than 55,000 people. The intensity of this earthquake was as high as 7.8 on the scale.
