The presence of actor Salman Khan at the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) event in Worli has sparked discussions in Maharashtra's political circles. At this event, RSS chief Dr. Mohan Bhagwat commented on the role of influential individuals in society, stating that artists like Salman Khan become role models in society, and students emulate their attire and behavior. His statement and Salman Khan's presence have accelerated political discussions.

On this issue, Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray faction) leader Sanjay Raut raised questions about the organization. Was Salman Khan invited just to gather a crowd, or have the doors of the organization opened for the Muslim community, he directly asked. Additionally, accusing the organization of spreading Hindu-Muslim hatred, he expressed suspicion about the motive behind Salman Khan's presence.

Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde faction) leader and minister Sanjay Shirsat gave a strong response to Raut's statement. "What is wrong if Salman Khan came to the organization's event?" he counter-questioned, accusing Raut of trying to create communal tension. He also clarified that the presence of an artist at an event does not change the organization's ideology.

Sanjay Shirsat further said that Salman Khan is a popular actor, he installs Ganpati, and participates in various social initiatives. His presence does not change the identity or ideology of the organization. “Presidents, Prime Ministers, and dignitaries from various fields have attended the organization's programs before. So why object just because Salman Khan came?” he questioned.

While criticizing Sanjay Raut, Shirsat said that instead of creating harmony in society, some leaders are constantly sowing the seeds of religion, caste, and social discord. The organization's aim is to bring together social elements. If artists, athletes, or people from various fields attend such programs, it sends a positive message to society, he also expressed.

Meanwhile, the controversy that started with Salman Khan's presence is not limited to just one event, but is sparking a broader discussion on the role of the organization, secularism, and the responsibility of influential individuals in society. On one hand, it is considered a symbol of inclusivity, while on the other hand, questions are being raised with political motives. Now, the political circles are also keenly watching what stance the organization or Salman Khan himself takes on this controversy. However, for now, Salman Khan's presence has certainly heated up the politics in the state.
