Veteran actor Satish Shah passed away on Saturday at the age of 74 due to kidney failure. His last rites were performed on Sunday at Pawan Hans Crematorium in Mumbai. His demise cast a pall of gloom over the entire entertainment industry. Satish Shah played many memorable roles in his long acting career, but he gained true recognition for his role as Indravadan Sarabhai in the popular series 'Sarabhai vs Sarabhai'.
At the funeral, series cast members Sumeet Raghavan, Rupali Ganguly, Rajesh Kumar, as well as producers JD Majethia, director Deven Bhojani, and writer-director Aatish Kapadia were present. While bidding farewell to Satish Shah, the entire team paid tribute by singing the show's title song.
Deven Bhojani shared about the incident, “This might seem a bit different, but we always sing this song together. We did the same today, as if Indu herself asked us to sing it.” Actor Rajesh Kumar also shared an emotional post, writing, “The farewell would have been incomplete without singing the Sarabhai song. Long live Indu!” The demise of Satish Shah has caused the Indian television and film industry to lose a valuable artist.
