State government's sugarcane crushing season policy
The price of sugar is likely to increase soon in the state
India's sugar stock is set to increase
An important news has emerged regarding sugarcane farmers and sugar factories. There is a strong possibility of increasing the MSP, i.e., Minimum Support Price of sugar (Sugar Price Hike). It is reported that Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has recommended this to the central government during the state government's sugarcane crushing season policy meeting.
Meanwhile, the current price of sugar is 3100 rupees per quintal. It is said that the main demand in the meeting is to increase it to 4100 rupees. If this decision is made, it will benefit the sugar industry and sugarcane farmers. In this regard, a letter was sent to the Union Minister of Food and Consumer Protection by the state government on October 20. Therefore, it will be important to see what steps are taken on this decision in the coming period and whether the price of sugar will increase soon in the state.
India's Sugar Stock to Increase

In the new season, the country's sugar consumption is expected to rise to 28.5 to 29 million metric tons, up from 28 million metric tons this year. India will start the new marketing year with an initial stock of 5 million metric tons, which was 8 million metric tons at the beginning of this year.
