(Mumbai Water Supply) There will be a 44-hour water emergency in Mumbai. A section of the 2,400 mm diameter Upper Vaitarna water pipeline has been diverted for the 'Metro 7A' project of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority.
The work to connect the diverted pipeline to the eastern division will be initiated, and for this work, there will be a 44-hour water emergency in Mumbai. Water supply will be halted in many areas of Dadar, Bhandup, and Vikhroli.
It is reported that water supply will be shut off in many areas of Dadar, Prabhadevi, Mahim, Dharavi, Andheri East, Vikhroli, Bhandup, Bandra-Kurla Complex, Kanjurmarg, and Vikhroli West from 9 AM tomorrow until 5 AM on January 22. Residents are advised to use water sparingly, as stated by the municipal administration.
