On the morning of January 28, a plane crash in Gojubai, Baramati taluka shook the entire Maharashtra, and now a thrilling video of the incident has surfaced. In this unfortunate accident, where the state's late Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and five others died, the Learjet 45 plane crashed near Baramati airport and caught a severe fire instantly, eyewitnesses reported a sudden loud explosion while it was burning.
The video clearly shows explosions occurring with loud noise from the plane engulfed in flames, and after the explosion, thick clouds of smoke spread in the area creating an atmosphere of fear. As soon as the news of the accident spread, villagers and nearby residents rushed to the scene, while the administration, police, and fire brigade immediately rushed to seal the area and brought the fire under control.
In the preliminary investigation, pilot error, excessive speed, or technical malfunction is suspected to be the cause, and the plane's black box has been recovered. The Ministry of Civil Aviation has initiated a transparent investigation through AAIB and DGCA, and the demise of Ajit Pawar has cast a pall of gloom in the circle.
