The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued multiple alerts across Maharashtra as several parts of the state are likely to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall in the coming days. An orange alert has been issued for the Konkan region and the Ghat areas, with specific warnings for Raigad, Ratnagiri, and Pune Ghats, where intense rainfall activity is expected. Residents in these areas have been advised to stay alert and take necessary precautions due to the possibility of waterlogging and disruptions in transportation.

In Vidarbha, a yellow alert has been declared due to the likelihood of thunderstorms accompanied by lightning in isolated areas. The IMD has urged farmers and citizens to avoid open areas during lightning activity and stay updated with local weather bulletins.

Meanwhile, Sindhudurg district has also been placed under a yellow alert for rainfall today. While some parts of the district received light rain yesterday, the weather has remained cloudy since morning, indicating the potential for heavy showers, particularly in areas along the Sahyadri mountain range.

The IMD has extended the yellow alert for Sindhudurg till June 25, forecasting intermittent rainfall activity across the district. Authorities are closely monitoring the situation, and local administrations have been instructed to remain on standby for any emergency response if required.
