It was observed that the alliance between Shiv Sena and BJP has broken in a total of 15 municipal corporations in the state. However, it has been decided for the elections of 6 municipal corporations that BJP-Shiv Sena will campaign vigorously in the allied municipal corporations.
In the municipal corporations of Mumbai, Thane, Kalyan-Dombivli, Panvel, Nagpur, and Jalgaon, an alliance has been formed between BJP and Shiv Sena. In Mumbai, BJP will contest 137 seats while Shiv Sena will contest 90 seats. In Jalgaon, BJP will contest 46 seats, Shiv Sena 23, and the Nationalist Congress Party 6 seats.
