(Thane) A charas smuggler has been arrested in Thane. A smuggler who came from West Bengal to sell charas has been arrested by the Thane Crime Branch.
The police have seized charas worth 5 crore 50 lakh from the accused, and it is suspected that he came to sell such a large quantity of charas to someone. It is speculated to be a large racket.
The police have now started further investigation in this case. Assistant Police Inspector Bhushan Shinde and Jagdish Gavit's team laid a trap and caught Shanwar. Upon searching him, the police found ten packets of charas weighing 505 grams.
