(Devendra Fadnavis) The district council and panchayat committee elections in the state have been postponed. Voting will now take place on February 7, 2026, instead of February 5, 2026, and counting will now be held on February 9, 2026, instead of February 7, 2026.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis was going to hold a campaign meeting. Devendra Fadnavis was going to hold 22 campaign meetings in 7 days. However, it is now being informed that the Chief Minister will not campaign for the district council elections due to the demise of Ajit Pawar.

There is time for campaigning until the 5th. However, the Chief Minister will not hold a single meeting. It is being informed that all meetings have been canceled due to the demise of Ajit Pawar.
