These instructions have been given to all departments by the finance department. As the financial year is ending, the finance department has alleged that many departments are making hurried purchases just to spend the funds. Orders have been issued to ban issuing new tenders and granting administrative approval to purchase proposals. It is reported that this includes computers, equipment, furniture repairs, renting offices, seminars, physical workshops, driver machines, and spare parts.
The purchase of medicines has been excluded from all these orders. This order has been applied to government corporations, administrative departments, grant-aided institutions, and urban and rural local self-government bodies.
