(Devendra Fadnavis) Voting for the municipal elections will take place on January 15, 2026, and counting will occur on January 16, 2026, with elections being held for 2869 seats. Candidates could file their nomination papers for the municipal elections until December 30.

Today, on December 31, the scrutiny of candidates' applications will take place. Candidates will be able to withdraw their applications until January 2, 2026. All parties are now gearing up for the upcoming municipal elections, and meetings are being organized.

Against this backdrop, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will hold 3 campaign meetings for the Pune municipality. Additionally, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit Pune for a day during the campaign and is expected to hold a meeting with key officials to provide guidance.
