The terror of the notorious Koyata gang has resurfaced in Pune, with a violent incident reported late Saturday night in the Tofkhana area near Shivajinagar Court. In a chilling attack, two youths were assaulted with sharp weapons by gang members in an apparent attempt to murder. Four suspects have been arrested, while police continue to search for additional accused involved in the crime.

According to the Shivajinagar Police, the attack occurred around midnight when a group of assailants armed with koyatas (sickles) and knives ambushed Ayan Sheikh and his cousin Firoz Sheikh in the Tofkhana locality. The victims sustained serious injuries in the brutal assault.

The complainant, Sameer Sheikh (48), a resident of Shivajinagar and father of Ayan, filed an FIR at the Shivajinagar police station. He stated that the attack stemmed from a prior dispute, which escalated into a planned assault.

All the accused are residents of Bahirat Aali in Shivajinagar village limits. They have been booked under charges of attempt to murder and violation of the disarmament order. The police have also recovered some of the weapons used in the attack.

After attacking the two victims, the gang reportedly vandalized several vehicles in the area, further spreading fear among residents. The incident caused panic and unrest in the locality, with many citizens expressing concern over the recurring threat of gang violence.

Law enforcement responded swiftly to the incident. Based on initial leads, four accused were apprehended within hours. Authorities have launched a manhunt for the remaining gang members, and security has been heightened in the area to prevent further violence.

Pune Police have assured the public that strong measures are being taken to curb gang-related activities and restore peace in affected neighborhoods.
