In Brief
Dahisar Toll Naka now in front of Versova Bridge
Decision due to massive traffic congestion
There was congestion at the Mira-Bhayandar border
(Dahisar Toll Naka) The government has decided to relocate the Dahisar Toll Naka, which was at the Mira-Bhayandar border. To avoid traffic congestion, this toll will now be relocated two kilometers ahead, near the nurseries in front of Versova Bridge. Transport Minister Pratap Sarnayak stated that the relocation is planned to be completed before Diwali.
This decision was made in a meeting held at the ministry. Due to this toll plaza, citizens of Mira-Bhayandar, drivers, and travelers heading towards Mumbai were facing significant difficulties. It is believed that moving the toll plaza forward will provide relief to the citizens and make travel more convenient.
The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation has sent this proposal to the National Highways Authority, and the relocation process will begin after approval from the Central Ministry of Transport. This will take a period of one to one and a half months. The meeting was attended by local MLAs, corporation officials, and senior police officers.
