( Local Body Elections ) All political parties are preparing for local self-government elections. Meanwhile, information is being received that the Supreme Court has warned the state government not to exceed the 50% reservation limit.

The state government has decided to implement a blanket 27% reservation for Other Backward Classes in local self-government elections in the state. The Supreme Court has warned that elections will be postponed if the reservation exceeds this limit.

A hearing was held before the bench of Justice Suryakant and Justice Joymala Bagchi on the petition filed by Vikas Gawli regarding OBC reservation in local self-government elections. As a result, all eyes are now on these elections.
