Major action against drugs has been taken on the Pune-Mumbai-Bengaluru highway. The Pune division of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) has seized approximately 3.815 kg of methamphetamine from a foreign woman, with preliminary information indicating that the international market value of these drugs is around 7.63 crores.

This woman was traveling from Delhi to Bangalore by private bus. Based on confidential information, the DRI took this action. With the cooperation of the Pune Customs Department, surveillance was kept on the concerned bus on the Mumbai-Bangalore highway.

Upon inspecting the woman, initially nothing suspicious was found in the luggage. However, after a thorough search of the bus, an additional bag hidden at the back was discovered. In that bag, salwar suits were kept, and in each garment's strip, a white crystal-like substance was found in a transparent covering.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the substance is 'methamphetamine', and the foreign woman has been immediately arrested under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. The investigation of this case is ongoing, and officials have stated that there is a possibility of uncovering an international drug trafficking racket.
