Mild earthquake tremors were felt in Dharani taluka of Amravati district on Wednesday night, sparking concern among residents in several villages. According to the district administration, the earthquake measured 3.8 on the Richter scale.

The tremors were recorded at 9:58 PM, with the epicenter located near Shivziri village in Dharani taluka. The seismic activity was also felt in the Melghat region, further extending the range of the quake.


Villages including Susarda, Ranigaon, Dabla, and Nardu experienced light tremors. Fortunately, there have been no reports of casualties or significant damage to property at the time of reporting.

Local authorities have stated that while the earthquake was minor in scale, the administration remains alert. Officials are continuing to monitor the region for any aftershocks or related developments.
