A serious road accident occurred early Monday morning near the Ved Bhawan Bridge in Kothrud, resulting in one person sustaining injuries. The incident took place at approximately 5:10 AM, involving a collision between four to five vehicles, including a passenger bus.
Emergency rescue teams from the National Defence Academy (NDA), Warje, and the Central Fire Service were immediately dispatched to the scene upon receiving the alert. When the teams arrived, they discovered the bus driver critically injured and trapped inside the vehicle’s cabin.
According to Fire Officer Sachin Shinde, the driver was successfully rescued using specialized equipment including crowbars and hydraulic cutters. He was then quickly transported to a nearby hospital via ambulance for urgent medical care.
