Rain had taken a break for a few days, but now it seems to have started again. The intensity of rain remains across the state, and the weather department has issued warnings for various districts. Heavy rains have caused rivers and streams to overflow in many places.
It is observed that the rain has made a strong presence in most parts of the state. In the Kolhapur dam area, continuous rain is ongoing, and the water level of the Panchganga river is moving towards the warning level. The water level of Panchganga has reached 35 feet 9 inches, and all the rivers in the district are flooded.
57 dams have gone underwater. The Panchganga river has overflowed for the fourth time this monsoon. Discharge has started from Radhanagari dam along with six other dams: Dudhganga, Tulshi, Kumbhi, Warna, Patgaon. Two automatic gates of the Radhanagari dam have been opened. A warning has been issued to all villages along the riverbank by the district administration.
