After a few days of respite from the rain, it seems that the rain has started again. The intensity of the rain remains across the state, and the meteorological department has issued a rain warning in various districts. It appears that the rain has made a strong presence in most parts of the state.

In many places, due to heavy rain, rivers and streams are overflowing. The intensity of the rain is seen to have increased further. It is observed that the Panchganga River in Kolhapur has overflowed for the fifth time. The water level of Panchganga has reached 30 feet, and along with Rajaram, 38 weirs have gone underwater.

Due to the submergence of weirs, traffic has been disrupted. All seven automatic gates of the Radhanagari Dam have been opened. A total discharge of 11,500 cusecs is being released, with 10,000 cusecs from the seven automatic gates and 1,500 cusecs from the base power station, and a warning has been issued to the villages along the riverbank.
