The November installment of Rs 1,500 under the Maharashtra government's popular Ladki Bahini scheme has started being credited to the accounts of beneficiary women since yesterday. However, the question now being asked by millions of women is when the December installment will be received. Although there was talk of the November and December payments being combined, the deposit of only one month's payment has disappointed the women.
According to government sources, the December installment will be credited to the women's accounts before January 14 or before the district council elections are announced. Since the announcement of the district council elections is likely to happen in a few days, the money will be deposited in the coming days. Now that January has started, there is also talk of receiving the December and January payments together, but there is still no clarity on this.
Meanwhile, the November installment has not yet reached the accounts of some women, and all beneficiaries will receive the money in the coming days. However, the rules are becoming stricter from next month. The benefits for women who have not completed KYC (Know Your Customer) will be stopped, and those who do not meet the criteria will also be removed from the scheme. As a result, millions of women will have to complete KYC immediately. Due to these changes in the Ladki Bahini scheme, concerns have increased among women, and there is a demand for clarification at the government level.
