According to the IMD, heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to continue in multiple districts, with certain areas placed under red alert due to the expected intensity of the showers. In its broader forecast, the IMD has warned that four states, including Maharashtra, are likely to experience heavy to very heavy rain over the next 6 to 7 days. This prolonged spell of monsoon activity could lead to waterlogging, flooding in low-lying areas, and disruptions in daily life.
The state administration has urged citizens to remain vigilant and adhere to safety instructions issued by local authorities. Emergency services and disaster response teams have been put on standby to handle any rain-related incidents.
