Maharashtra Rain Update : Heavy Showers of the State Today; Check Alerts Issued for Your District

The rain, which had taken a break for many days, has returned once again. Heavy rain is falling in many parts of the state. Due to heavy rain in many places, rivers and streams have flooded, disrupting daily life. The intensity of rain is expected to increase across the state once again, with increased intensity in two Konkan coastal areas as well as Pune, Sangli, Satara, and Marathwada.

Today, there is a forecast of moderate to heavy rain in many places across the state. Additionally, there is a possibility of moderate to heavy rain in the Konkan and the hilly areas of central Maharashtra. Light to moderate rain may occur in the eastern Marathwada adjacent to Vidarbha, while there is also a forecast of rain in the remaining Marathwada and Khandesh.

Along with this, the weather department has issued a red alert for Chandrapur district, and against this backdrop, the administration has urged citizens to remain vigilant. Due to heavy rain, all schools and colleges in Chandrapur district have been declared closed. Additionally, a red alert has been issued for Gadchiroli district, while Wardha district has an orange alert today with a forecast of rain accompanied by thunderstorms.
