Heavy Rain Forecast in Konkan and Western Maharashtra for Next Two Days

The rain had taken a break for a few days, and now it seems to have started again. The intensity of the rain remains throughout the state, and the meteorological department has issued a rain warning in various districts. It is observed that the rain has made a strong presence in most parts of the state.

In many places, due to heavy rain, rivers and streams are overflowing. It is anticipated that the intensity of the rain will increase further. Heavy rain is forecasted for today and tomorrow in Konkan and western Maharashtra. A low-pressure area is forming, and due to its impact, there is a possibility of heavy rain today and tomorrow, especially in the ghat areas of Konkan and central Maharashtra, the Mumbai metropolitan region, and primarily in the western and southern parts of Marathwada.

Heavy rain is expected in Nashik, Pune, Satara, Sangli, Kolhapur, Palghar, Thane, Mumbai, Solapur, Dharashiv, and Latur. Additionally, moderate to heavy rain is forecasted in Khandesh and Marathwada. Light to moderate rain is expected in Vidarbha. A red alert has been issued for the Pune ghat area for the next 24 hours, and an orange alert has been issued for Palghar, Thane, Mumbai city, Mumbai suburbs, Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Yavatmal, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli districts, as well as Satara ghat and Kolhapur ghat areas.
