(Mumbai BJP) All political parties have started preparing for the municipal elections. The announcement of elections for 29 municipal corporations in the state including Mumbai and Pune has been made. Voting for the municipal elections will take place on January 15, 2026, and the counting will be on January 16, 2026, with elections for 2869 seats.
During the period from December 23 to December 30, candidates will be able to file their nomination papers for the municipal elections, and on December 31, the scrutiny of candidates' papers will take place. Candidates will be able to withdraw their papers until January 2, 2026. The allocation of symbols will take place on January 3, and voting will be held on January 15, 2026.
Against this backdrop, the Mumbai BJP has now announced the election committee for the municipal elections.
