The Coastal Road, known as a project that accelerates traffic in Mumbai and is considered ambitious, received a new identity today. This road will now be known as the country's first Melody Road (Musical Road). With the help of advanced Hungarian technology, while driving on this road, the tune of the world-famous song 'Jai Ho' from the movie Slumdog Millionaire will automatically be heard.

This project has been implemented by the Mumbai Municipal Corporation through the concept and consistent follow-up of former MP Rahul Shewale, and the inauguration of this melody road was done by the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister at 12:30 PM on Wednesday. This musical technology has been installed on the approximately 700-meter-long road in the first lane between Amarsans Garden and Breach Candy after exiting the Marine Drive tunnel on the Coastal Road going from south to north of Mumbai.

The special potholes and elevations on the road are activated by the pressure of vehicle tires, causing the tune of 'Jai Ho' to play automatically. This technology has been developed by experts in Hungary and will offer a unique travel experience for Mumbaikars. Speaking at the inauguration, the Chief Minister said, "Such innovative projects are important to make Mumbai a modern and tourist-friendly city. The Coastal Road will now not only be a traffic route but also a road that provides musical enjoyment."
