Attention Mumbaikars! Commuters using Mumbai’s suburban railway network are advised to plan their journeys carefully as a mega block will be in effect across all three major railway lines on Sunday, June 8, to facilitate essential engineering and maintenance work.
The Central and Western Railways have announced scheduled disruptions that will affect travel on the Main Line, Harbour Line, Western Line, and Trans Harbour Line.
A night block will be imposed on the Western Railway line for three consecutive nights — Saturday, Sunday, and Monday (June 7–9) — between 12:45 AM and 3:15 AM, to facilitate the girder launching work of Metro Line 9 between Mira Road and Bhayandar.
Additionally, there will be a mega block between Churchgate and Mumbai Central on Sunday, from 10:35 AM to 3:35 PM, affecting fast and slow services in this section.
On the Central Railway, a mega block will be imposed on both the Main Line and Harbour Line on Sunday, June 8.
Harbour Line: Services between Panvel and Vashi (Up and Down) will be suspended from 11:05 AM to 4:05 PM.
Trans Harbour Line:
Up services from Panvel to Thane will remain suspended from 11:02 AM to 3:53 PM.
Down services from Thane to Panvel will be halted from 10:01 AM to 3:20 PM.
Along with this, a mega block will be imposed on the Up and Down Harbour Line between Panvel and Vashi stations on the Harbour Line from 11:05 am to 4:05 pm. On the Trans Harbour Line, the Up Trans Harbour Line service from Panvel to Thane will be closed from 11:02 am to 3:53 pm and the Down Trans Harbour Line service from Thane to Panvel will be closed from 10:01 am to 3:20 pm.
