Commuters relying on Mumbai's suburban railway network are advised to plan their travel carefully on Sunday, June 22, as a mega block has been scheduled on both the Central and Harbour lines. The Western Railway, meanwhile, will not impose a daytime block, though a night block will be in effect.
The Central Railway will conduct a megablock on the Matunga–Mulund Up and Down Slow lines from 11:05 AM to 3:55 PM. During this period:
Down Slow Line trains departing from CSMT between 10:14 AM and 3:32 PM will be diverted onto the Down Fast Line between Matunga and Mulund stations.
Up Slow Line trains departing from Thane between 11:07 AM and 3:51 PM will be diverted onto the Up Fast Line between Mulund, Bhandup, Vikhroli, Ghatkopar, Kurla, and Shiv stations.
To minimize commuter inconvenience, special local trains will operate on the Harbour Line:
Between Mankhurd and Nerul from 11:15 AM to 4:15 PM.
Additional services will also run between CSMT Mumbai–Mankhurd and Panvel–Nerul/Thane during the block hours.
Passengers traveling on the Harbour Line are permitted to use services on the Trans-Harbour Line and Main Line between 10:00 AM and 4:30 PM.
The following Harbour Line services will remain cancelled during the block hours:
Down Harbour Line trains from CSMT to Vashi/Belapur/Panvel.
Up Harbour Line trains from Vashi/Belapur/Panvel to CSMT.
The affected time window for these cancellations is from 10:37 AM to 3:45 PM.
