Mahayuti: Municipal Election: 22 candidates unopposed from 8 municipal corporations in the state

(Mahayuti) All parties are preparing for the municipal elections. Voting for the municipal elections will take place on January 15, 2026, and counting will be on January 16, 2026, with elections for 2869 seats.

A total of 22 candidates have been elected unopposed in 8 municipal corporations in the state. Under the leadership of state president Ravindra Chavan, 5 BJP candidates have been elected unopposed. Meanwhile, 4 candidates from Shinde's Shiv Sena have been elected unopposed in KDMC.

Additionally, 2 candidates from Ajit Pawar's NCP have been elected unopposed in Ahilyanagar. Among the unopposed elected candidates, the highest number of 12 candidates are from BJP.
