(Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar) Voting for the municipal elections will take place on January 15, 2026, and the counting will be on January 16, 2026, with elections for 2869 seats.

During the period from December 23 to December 30, candidates will be able to file their nomination papers for the municipal elections. Against this backdrop, all political parties have started their preparations. In this context, political movements in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar seem to have gained momentum.

Regarding the municipal election, a meeting took place after midnight between BJP Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule and Shiv Sena Minister Sanjay Shirsat about contesting the Shiv Sena-BJP grand alliance. BJP leader Chandrashekhar Bawankule arrived late at night at Sanjay Shirsat's residence for the seat-sharing meeting. BJP Minister Atul Save, MP Dr. Bhagwat Karad, MLA Sanjay Kenekar, and City President Kishor Shitole were present at this meeting.
