(OLA, Uber strike) Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a visit to Mumbai, and today is the second day of his visit. Against this backdrop, app-based taxi and rickshaw drivers in the state have called for a strike today.

Drivers have demanded strict action against aggregators violating state transport department rules. They also demand good wages, insurance benefits, transparent fare structure, and to stop the arbitrary suspension of drivers' accounts by app companies. There has been a massive increase in fuel and maintenance costs, and drivers' income is low, with no proper system for resolving complaints. These demands are included, and all these demands will be made according to the Indian Gig Workers Platform.

It is anticipated that this strike may affect the transport service in the state. It is reported that today's strike has been called to draw the attention of Prime Minister Modi, who is in Mumbai.
