The police noticed the ongoing sale of ganja in broad daylight at the bus depot area in Boisar, Palghar district. In this case, the police set a trap and arrested 51-year-old Savita Shivbahadur Singh. Approximately three kilograms of ganja were seized from the woman, causing a stir in the area.
After receiving information, the Boisar police set up a special trap and took the woman into custody. It is said that the marijuana seized from her is worth millions in market value. This illegal transaction had spread fear among the local citizens. The police have immediately registered a case and have started action under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
