(Pipani Symbol) All political parties are preparing for the local self-government elections. In this context, the Pipani symbol has now been removed from the local self-government elections.

In the Lok Sabha elections, instead of the trumpet, votes went to the whistle, and it was claimed by the Nationalist Congress Party that this was the reason candidates lost in the assembly elections as well. Therefore, there was a demand from the Sharadchandra Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party to freeze the whistle symbol.

Against this backdrop, this demand was accepted in the local self-government elections, and the commission has removed the whistle symbol from its list of 194 free symbols. The whistle symbol was named 'trumpet' in the list of election symbols.

Due to the similarity in names, the votes that were supposed to go to the Sharad Pawar group were claimed to have gone to independent candidates by the Nationalist Congress Party Sharadchandra Pawar faction. However, now that this symbol has been removed, the Sharad Pawar group has received significant relief.
