(Navi Mumbai Airport Inauguration) The Navi Mumbai Airport will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 8. After the inauguration, the airport area will be handed over to the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).

According to CIDCO's Managing Director Vijay Singhal, actual passenger traffic from the airport will commence from December. This will be the first airport in the country to be connected by water transport, and it will be linked by national highways, main urban roads, suburban railways, metro, and water transport.

After the inauguration, Prime Minister Modi will hold a public meeting. A grand pavilion will be erected for this. After arriving at Navi Mumbai International Airport, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will first inspect the terminal. This airport is expected to reduce the strain on Mumbai's growing air traffic and provide significant relief to air transportation.
