(Sharad Pawar) All political parties are preparing for the upcoming municipal elections. Voting for the municipal elections will take place on January 15, 2026, and counting will be on January 16, 2026, with elections for 2869 seats.

Candidates will be able to file their nomination papers for the municipal elections from December 23 to December 30. Against this backdrop, it is reported that Sharad Pawar's NCP has proposed to the Congress for the Mumbai Municipal Corporation.

Some leaders of Sharad Pawar's NCP have made this proposal, and it is reported that discussions with the Congress, Vanchit, and CPI are currently ongoing. The NCP has not yet made a decision on this. Therefore, it is important to see whether a new alliance will be formed.
