As the monsoon season approaches, Punekars in several parts of the city are being urged to use water judiciously. The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has announced a complete water supply shutdown in select areas on Thursday, July 3, due to scheduled maintenance and repair work.
While the water supply will resume on Friday, July 4, officials have warned that pressure will remain low in the affected areas throughout the day.
The following localities in and around Katraj will experience a complete water cut on Thursday and low water pressure on Friday:
Dutt Nagar
Telco Colony
Amrai (Ambegaon Budruk)
Dalvi Nagar
Waghjai Nagar
Achal Farm area
Pancham Nagar
Vadar Vasti
Santosh Nagar
Anjali Nagar
Mahavir Kunj
Wonder City
Section Society
Gurudwara area
Ambegaon Khurd village
Jambhulwadi Road and surrounding localities
The PMC’s water department has requested residents in the affected zones to store sufficient water in advance and use it sparingly during the period of disruption. The corporation has also assured that regular supply will be restored after the necessary repair works are completed.
This temporary disruption comes as part of routine maintenance operations aimed at ensuring efficient and reliable water distribution as the city prepares for the monsoon.
