A shopkeeper in the Mira Road area was beaten by MNS workers for not speaking Marathi. Following this, on the 3rd, local traders organized a protest against it. Slogans like Jai Marwadi, Jai Gujarati were also raised. This incident sparked a significant controversy. Subsequently, a protest was organized in Mira Road on July 8 over the Marathi issue. Then, yesterday, for the first time, Raj Thackeray held a meeting in Mira Road.

This time, Raj Thackeray has openly challenged BJP MP Nishikant Dubey. "If you have the courage, show us by attacking Urdu speakers in Maharashtra. Even a dog in your house is a tiger." Dubey had shared such a post on X. "Marathi people should come out of Maharashtra, we will beat them up," he had said.

Against this backdrop, Raj Thackeray has publicly challenged BJP MP Nishikant Dubey. Raj Thackeray said, "Someone named Dubey, a BJP MP, said we will beat up Marathi people. Was there a case against him? You will beat us up? I tell Dubey, Dubey come to Mumbai. We will drown you in the sea of Mumbai...", said MNS President Raj Thackeray in response to BJP MP Nishikant Dubey.
